4. TOWN HALL and ISLAND SITE:
The SDC Executive will be considering the project at their meeting on 15 October 2008. As members have been advised dentifying funding from partners and other sources is now crucial and decisions taken by the Town Council at the last meeting are a key element. That meeting should also confirm the situation with the private sector interests and development potential of parts of the Island site which will also be a major source of finance for the overall objectives of the cultural centre objectives.

The SDC Executive at the meeting on 24 September 2008 received a report on the progress with the Bridgwater Challenge and more particularly the decision of the South West Regional Development Agency (SWRDA) to fund elements of the process.
