PACT Meeting

The 2nd meeting of PACT (Partners and Communities together) will take place on 5 August 2008 at Morganians RFC @ 7pm

This will cover the areas of Sydenham, Bower, and Bridgwater Without and invitations are extended to the open forum including the police and councillors from district, town and parish and residents.

NEW SEATS AT BOWER PONDS

Bower Ponds

Councillors' Cresswell, Hall and Preece have a quick sit down on one of the new seats at Bower Ponds sponsored by Bridgwater Town Council, under the Ward grant scheme. Also as part of the Bower Ward allocation, a seat and rubbish bin has been provided for Ash Close with a second bin funded by Clean Surroundings and Sedgemoor District Council.

 

GRANT FUND FOR SYDENHAM FAMILY CENTRE

Following a grant fund of £250 Jas Plested - Family Support Service Manager for Sydenham Family Centre writes 'Thank you Bridgwater Town Council - much appreciated - with funds going toward a designated area for toys and activities at our breakfast club'

 

CASH FOR THE GARDENS CHILDRENS CENTRE

Councillors Monteith and Loveridge - Ward Members for Eastover - were delighted to present a cheque for £1,000 to the Gardens Children’s Centre to provide more play equipment, stimulation aids and resources for the Nursery and after-school club. This money will help provide for both outdoor and indoor equipment.

The grant was made under the Council's Ward grant scheme where each Ward is allocated £1,000 each year to help the community with local projects and initiatives.
