Mace Bearer & Mayor's Cadet to precede Town Mayor and place Mace in position.
Town Mayor to welcome all present.
Town Mayor to ask for any apologies and approval of previous minutes of 11 May 2007.

The Town Mayor Cllr Philip Smeed to congratulate the new Town Mayor on election.
RETIRE for Mace Bearer to place robes and chains of office on Councillor Graham Granter
RETURN: Councillor Granter will thank the Town Council for his election and take the Mayoral Oath.
He will announce that Mrs Kay Granter will act as Mayoress and that the
Reverend Charles Chadwick will be his Chaplain and Cadet Sally Mullins the Mayor's Cadet.
Mrs Ute Smeed as previous Mayoress, will place the Mayoress' Chain on Mrs Kay Granter

4th Item on Agenda Election of Deputy Town Mayor of Bridgwater for the period ending at the Annual Meeting 2009

The Town Mayor to hand Deputy Mayor's Badge to new Deputy Mayor (Councillor Ken Richards).
5th Item on Agenda Vote of thanks to the immediate past Town Mayor

To be seconded by Councillor David Busby
The Town Mayor will present Councillor Smeed with (a bar for) his ex-Mayor's badge for 2007/8 and Mrs Smeed will receive an ex-Mayoress' medal.
Councillor Smeed will acknowledge vote of thanks.
6th Item on Agenda Matters to be brought forward by the Town Mayor
Presentation of bouquets (to be brought forward by Mace Bearer / Mayor's Cadet).
At the conclusion of the Meeting, the Town Mayor will invite all present, when announcement is made, to go to Bridgwater Town Hall.
The Town Clerk / Mace Bearer / Mayor's Cadet will conduct the Town Mayor and Mayoress from Bridgwater House and take them to the entrance to the Bridgwater Town Hall to receive the guests.
8.30 pm The Mace Bearer / Mayor's Cadet will stand behind the Town Mayor and Mayoress,
Town Hall and Deputy Town Mayor and Lady.
When the Town Mayor and Mayoress are in position, the Mace Bearer / Mayor's Cadet will ask the guests in the Charter Hall and Lobby to proceed into Bridgwater Town Hall.
Guests will be announced as they enter by the Mace Bearer.
Regalia to be displayed on side of the stage before 8.00 pm.
