A FRUIT and vegetable box delivery service recently presented the Mayor of Bridgwater with a box of produce at the opening of the town’s annual fair.

Cossey Produce gave Councillor Pat Parker a fruit and vegetable box to donate to the charity of his choice when he visited the company at Bridgwater Fair back in September.

Mark Druitt, Director of Cossey Produce, said: “We were thrilled that the Mayor came to see us while we were at the fair. We gave him a fruit and vegetable box, which he donated to the charity Barnardo’s.”

Bridgwater Fair is an annual event, which has taken place in the town for more than 600 years, and it is one of the largest funfairs in the South West.

Barnardo’s aims to transform the lives of vulnerable children across the UK through the work of its projects, campaigning and research.

Mark added: “We attended the opening of the fair to giveaway fruit and talk to visitors about our company and the service we offer.”

Cossey Produce delivers fresh seasonal produce, often grown in the area, direct to homes and businesses across the region. It aims to beat supermarkets on price too.

Mark continued: “Our excellent trading relationships with regional and UK growers and suppliers, coupled with our ability to procure from around the world, allows us to offer the best quality produce at the most competitive price.”
