Posted on 4th January, 2012 in News

Do you know someone special in Bridgwater?
Then nominate them for the Bridgwater Cup.

The Bridgwater Cup (right) is awarded on an annual basis to the individual or group who have done most in any one year, or previous years, for the citizens of Bridgwater.

The Cup is silver gilt, made in London in 1768 in the reign of King George III.

Consideration will shortly be given to the award of this Cup for the year 2011. To enable the Council to consider as wide a range of nominations as possible, individuals or organisations in the ‘Town’ are requested to submit their suggestions by 5th January 2012 giving detailed reasons for their choice.

Nominations should be forwarded in an envelope, clearly marked ‘The Bridgwater Cup – Nominations(M), Confidential’ tp the Town Clerk, Bridgwater Town Council, Town Hall, High Street, Bridgwater, Somerset, TA6 3AS. or by email: townclerk@bridgwatertowncouncil.gov.uk
